Get to know Mrs. Brown
 

     Mrs. Brown began singing at a very early age and branched out into instrumental music in the fourth grade. After very rewarding musical experiences in both junior high and high school she chose to pursue music education as a career. After receiving a Bachelor of Music from Arizona State University she attended Baylor University where she received a Master of Music. Her first teaching position was at Canyon High School in New Braunfels, Texas where she taught for two years. She then moved on to Madison High School for one year and MacArthur High School for nine years before finding her home at Johnson in 2008.

Mrs. Brown is an active member of Texas Music Educators Association (TMEA) and served as TMEA Region 12 treasurer for 4 years, vice-chair for one year, and region chair for two years.  She has also hosted auditions, judged, and served as region mixed choir organizer.  As a member of Texas Music Adjudicator Association (TMAA) Mrs. Brown is an active judge for UIL Concert and Sight-reading contests throughout the state.
Mrs. Brown is married and has two children.  She enjoys reading, travelling, spending time with family, and being a wife and mother.
